I have been married to my current husband for 10 years and we have 1 beautiful little girl. I have lived in Missouri for 10 years now. Lived in Colorado for 11 years before that.      Presently the Program and Staff Development Administrator for Gaston County, North Carolina, Chuck is responsible for monitoring process improvements, and developing and implementing training programs focused on career enhancement for the County’s 1,450 employees. Prior to his current position, he served 25 ½ years in the United States Air Force, retiring in 2004 as a Chief Master Sergeant. During his final service assignment, he served as the Superintendent, Field History Program and Senior Enlisted Historian for Headquarters, Air Force Space Command, Peterson AFB, Colorado.   

     He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from California Baptist University, Riverside, California, in 1981 and a Master of Arts degree in national security studies from California State University, San Bernardino, in 1986. He graduated from the USAF Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Gunter Air Base, Alabama, in April 1998. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree in aerospace history from the Community College of the Air Force.

     During his Air Force career, Chuck served overseas in England, Korea, Canada, Egypt, Bahrain, Uganda, and Italy. His various stateside assignments included Utah, California, North Carolina, Colorado, and several short assignments in Alabama and Texas. Three high-level Air Force awards for his historical contributions, three Meritorious Service Medals, and four Air Force Commendation Medals are among the numerous awards earned during his career. He is also a Gulf War veteran.

     Chuck is married to the former Melodie Keller of Riverside, California—a 1977 graduate of California Baptist University, and a 1991 inductee into CBU’s Athletic Hall of Fame. They currently live in Lowell, North Carolina.
