As any of you can see by my ad in the Shop and Donate Section of the website--I have a tax business.
Just last week, in the big bailout bill, Congress restored some tax credits and such you should be aware of.
For Educators - The $250 deduction for classroom expenses was renewed for 2008 and 2009
For those suffering the economic hardships, the IRS changed some of the rules related to imputed income should you lose your home through foreclosure, abandoment, or short sale.
For those who own a home, but don't pay enough mortgage interest to itemize deductions, there is a deduction available for property taxes than can be taken without itemizing.
Be sure to consult your tax advisor if these situations apply to you. If you do your own taxes, be sure to look for these in whatever software you use. If you need a tax advisor, you can contact me through my ad in the Shop and Donate Section of this website. A portion of my fee will go towards the 2011 Reunion.

Hello all, I stumbled across this site as I searched for photo's from PHS that might have my dad in them. My father was your Principle for a number of years. (Charles Passantino Sr). Those were the good old days. I graduated from Mtn. View High School in 79' and always enjoyed playing football and/or basketball against my dads (your) teams. I recall playing against the likes of Bill Pecoda (his brother Andy was my hero when I was a kid) and Ben Bennett. I played QB for Mtn. View and in my senior year, in the game against Peterson, the ref's actually through a flag on my dad for protesting a call against me (15 yards) from the Principle of the opposing team...not sure that had happed before or since.
If any of you have any pictures that have your old Principle Mr. Passantino in them I would love to get a copy. I'm putting togeather a book of remembrance for his grandchildren, and new great-grand son who is his namesake.

Happy Summer!!!!
Just wanted you all to know that Reunion Plans are in the beginning stages. I've been in contact with Cliff Wells from the Class of 73
and he thinks it's a great idea to combine reunions. We've also decided to include the Class of 72 and possibly the Class of 75 so
we're going to have a GREAT time.
Still need your reunion ideas (no place or dates have been decided) and your help in getting the word out to friends about the yahoo "group".
Also, if there are any of you "close" enough to the Bay Area who may want to get together in the next week or 2 at Cliff Well's house to talk things over, please let me know!

What a great site! I have to say I'm in a little bit of a shock though. I was looking at the Passed Away page and was more then shocked to see my ex husband's name on it. Monty Moscato and I were married for 5 years and even though things did'nt work out we parted has friends. So yes I'm shocked and sad to see that he is gone and to be so very young. Can anyone out there tell me how he died?

I have noticed I am on the missing list. Well I am now found thanks to Don Stuart. I was at the reunion in 2001 and saw a lot of people I haven't seen in 31 years. It was a great time. I have been married 3 times, well 2 but will soon be married again on May 17th 2008. My first marriage lasted 5 years with two great sons. My second marriage ended with my husband passing away from cancer. We were married for 23 years and have a beautiful daughter. I now live in Mazatlan, Mexico and will be married there to Don Bowden. We love it here and if anyone comes down please email me so we can get together.

I was so pleased to find this site thanks to the nanny goat, Nancy Lesher. Life has really been full since graduating high school and you could say I've been very busy. I graduated on June 16, 1976. I had married at a very young age and had to opt out of the ceremony for graduation, plus the fact that I was moving to mexico. I missed my graduation, now I regret it cause I missed out on all the fun with friends. I spent most of my senior year working and helping my parents .
Although I did complete my education here. I think back about the clubs that were available then , when Peterson Had a Cinco de Mayo Festival in the cafeteria and I played the guitar with my friend from the Philipines. I sang angel baby for all of Alviso to hear it was fun. I don't know if my friends will remember that or not. I used to hangout with Kathy Hogue .I haven't heard don't know what happened to her? I have very good memories of Peterson High School the teachers were great!

What an awesome site. Thank you Carol for giving us a chance to be young again. As I read some of the entries, tears came to my eyes. I recall spirit week and all the other fun stuff our school had going for it but my fondest memories will always be the Christmas concerts we did. I still have a few albums and think it would be great to get all former music department alumni to sing the Hallelulia Chorus (just one more time). My sisters Josephine, Geraldine, Christine and myself as well as my brother Tim, all sang in glee and choir. Again, Thank you Carol. So very sorry to hear about Terry. I remember her and I going 'steady' in the pre-Peterson High days when we attended Patrick Henry together. She was very sweet and will be missed. Class of 1968. Everyone my sister Terry Jackson(Morrison) needs prayers. Her cancer is not getting any better. Just week before last I was at the Cancer Center in Tulsa thats where she being treated. IF email me back I would be very happy to email you her phone number and email at the center. Two weeks ago her heart stop, that was very scarey, and she passed out a few days after that. The only way I made it through Peterson was to be a RIDGE RAT.
Becuase of my Positive expereince with the RIDGE RAT program I have had the opportunity to be a kayak instructor in Seattle, to river guide in Missouri.
Through the years I took several of my friends on Montebello tours via the Page Mill entrance.
Currently I build custom recumbent bicycles to ride on the longest state park in Missouri, the Katy Trail.

Saw a message from Pat Voeks below... reminded me of a class we goofed on in (was it metal shop or ... can't remember). Pat was always goofing off (quietly) which was the funniest part.
Anyhoos, still in the bay area - two grown kids and a granddaughter. All my brothers and sisters who went to Peterson are doing fine.
And I remember, Mr. Jones 'art' class. Randy Adamson drawing and the clay 'figures' that were baked :) I believe Bill Fairchild (or his sister) still owes me a clay head portrait he did of me ... Bill?
